Ingredients for Singhada Katli
Singhada Atta (Water chestnut flour) – 100 gm
Ghee – 1 tablespoon
Sugar – 100 gm
Cardamom – 4 (peel and grind)
How To make Water Chestnut Sweet
Put the ghee in a frying pan and heat it. Fry the water chestnut flour till it turns light brown. Mix three times water as compared to the water chestnut flour in the frying pan along with sugar and keep stirring. After it boils, continue cooking for another 4 to 5 minutes. The frying pan mixture will become as thick as halwa. Turn off the burner.
Make a big plate greasy with ghee. Take out the mixture from the frying pan and spread it evenly on the big plate in about half inch thickness. Let it cool.
Now cut into pieces of any size. Take out the pieces in a plate. Your delicious Water Chestnut Sweet are now ready to serve and eat.
