  •     Heeng(asafoetida) - 2 pinch
  •     Ginger —2 inch long piece(grated)
  •     Green chillies — 2 to 3 (finely chopped)
  •     Green coriander(dhaniya) — 1 cup(finely chopped)
  •     Fresh Paneer(cheese) — 100 grams
  •     Salt — add to taste
  •     Oil —2 to 4 tbsp

How to make Moong Pancakes

Soak Moong Dal in water for 3-4 hours.

Add Heeng and little water to wet dal, put them in a mixer to make a fine paste. Put the dal paste in a big bowl then put ginger, green chillies, green coriander and salt to it. Beat the ingredients well.

Grate the Paneer.

Heat a non-stick pan and pour little oil on the pan. Fill the spoon with the Dal mixture, pour in the hot pan then thinly spread evenly as a round circle. Pour oil all around the round Cheela and pour some on top.

You will be able to see from top that the lower layer of the Cheela has turned brown. With the help of a frying ladle turn the Cheela on the other side and fry. When Cheela is fried on the other side too then turn it again and spread 2 tsp Paneer on the upper layer of Cheela. Now fold the Cheela in a round manner similar to a Dosa. Moong Dal Pancake is ready.

Keep the folded Cheelas on a plate, serve hot Moong Dal Pancakes with curd, sour chutney.
