Method - How to make Moong Dal Karara Recipe
How to Prepare Moong Dal pakoris
Wash the moong dal and soak it overnight for 4-5 hours. Break the stems of the green chilli and wash them. Peel and wash the ginger. Strain the water from the dal and put it inside the mixing jar along with green chilli and ginger and make a paste. Do not over grind the dal.
Mix chopped coriander leaves and salt into the mixture. Whisk the mixture well. Batter to prepare the pakoris is ready.
Heat oil in a pan and pour a small of the mixture into the pan with hands giving it a round shape. Make 7-8 pakoris and fry in the pan at one time. Flip and turn them to fry until they turn brown in colour. Save 1 table spoon batter and make pakoris from the rest. Now lets prepare the curry for the recipe.
How to Prepare Curry for Moong Dal Karara
Make a paste of green chill, ginger and curd to form a curd batter. Pour 500 gms water into the batter (2 1/2 cup). We will prepare curry with this batter.
Heat oil in a pan on a low flame. Put heeng, cumin seeds into the oil and let the splutter. Now add turmeric powder and coriander powder to it. Stir well with the spoon and put the remaining pakora mixture into it along with 2 table spoon water. Cook till the water reduces completely in the pan and dries off. Keep on stirring the masala with the spoon at small intervals.
Now add the curd batter into the masala and mix it well. Once the mixture starts to boil, put the pakoris into it and mix well. Keep on stirring the recipe until it starts to boil again. Add salt, red chilli powder and garam masala into it. Turn off the flame. Moong Dal Karara is ready.
Take it out in a serving dish and garnish with coriander leaves. Serve Moong Dal Karara with hot chapatis, parantha and rice.
