Both sesame and corn meal are healthy for winters. We are making corn meal and sesame ki tikki today.
Sift corn meal in a vessel.
Dissolve jaggery in a cup of water (Mix water and jaggery and heat on low flame stirring continuosly. Jaggery syrup will be ready in 4-5 minutes.)
Mix 1 tablespoon of oil and sesame in corn meal. Knead this mixture with jaggery syrup. Knead well for 5-6 minutes, use water if needed. Make lemon sized balls from the dough.
Heat oil in karai (wok). Flat ten dough balls (in shape of tikki) with hands and deep fry in oil. Deep fry 3-4 tikkis at a time. Turn sides and fry till tikkis turn brown. Keep fried tikkis on a plate. Fry all tikis in the same way.
Corn-sesame tikki is ready. Cool and store them in air tight containers. Eat and enjoy when you like.
