Maida papdi is very crispy and good in taste. You can make papadi at home and store in an air-tight container for a longer period of time and eat with tea or coffee everyday or whenever you like. Lets make Maida Papadi today.
Sieve the flour in a bowl and mix oil, salt and carom seeds into it. Mix the ingredients well with hands and knead the flour with luke warm water. Cover the dough with wet clean cloth and leave it for 1 hour to set.
Make small balls of the dough. You will be able to make 32 to 34 round balls with 400 gms of dough. Cover the balls with the wet cloth.
Take one round ball and roll into a flat disc of 5-6 inches. Now fold it as shown in the picture below. Prepare all the balls in the same way.
Now heat oil in a pan and put 3-4 papadi into it. Fry them until they turn brown in colour. Take them out in a plate and fry rest of the papdi in the same manner.
Maida Papdi is ready. Let them cool down and then store in an air-tight container.
