Kesar Malai Ladoo Recipe

There are different types of ways for making Kesar Malai Ladoo. Traditionally, this Ladoo is made with Paneer and Malai mixed together. You can also add Paneer to mawa and make this Ladoo but if you don't have mawa then you can mix Paneer and condensed milk.
You can make these with the availability of mawa, Malai or condensed milk, Kesar Ladoo Malai is tasty in any way.

Ingredients for Kesar Malai Ladoo:-

  •     Paneer - 400 grams or 2 cups
  •     Malai(homemade) - 200 grams or 1 cup
  •     Sugar - 200 grams or 1 cup (powdered)
  •     Saffron 25-30 threads or 1 pinch of yellow color
  •     Cashew nuts - 2 tbsp
  •     Pistachios - 10 (finely chopped)
  •     Cardamom - 4 to 5 (peel)

How to make Kesar Malai Ladoo:-

Put Malai in a pan and stir fry with a spoon for 5-6 minutes. When Malai is melted then add grated Paneer to it and stir fry again constantly. After the mixture gets bit thick, mix saffron in 1 tbsp milk and then add it to the mixture. To give nice yellow color, add 1 pinch yellow color in milk, and then mix it in the mixture. Fry some more till mixture turns very thick in consistency.

Take out mixture in a plate and when it cools down a bit add powdered sugar and mix really well. Also add chopped cashew nuts and mix with the mixture.

Take little amount of mixture at a time, shape it into round Ladoos and keep them on a plate. Stick chopped pistachios and cardamom on the Ladoos. Delicious Kesar Malai Ladoos are ready.

Kesar Malai Ladoo Using Mawa:-

  •     Paneer - 400 grams or 2 cups
  •     Mawa(dried milk) - 200 grams or 1 cup
  •     Sugar - 200 grams or 1 cup
  •     Saffron(kesar) - ¼ tsp or 1 pinch yellow color
  •     Cashew nuts - 2 tbsp
  •     Pistachios - 10 to 15(finely chopped)
  •     Cardamom - 4 to 5 (peel)

How to make Kesar Malai Ladoo using Mawa:-

Put Mawa in the pan and stir fry.

After you fry Mawa for 3-4 minutes grate Paneer and add it in Mawa. Stir fry this Mawa-Paneer mix continuously.

Add sugar, cook till sugar dissolves and the mixture turns thick.

Add saffron in 1 tbsp milk and dissolve it then add it to the fried mixture. Cook till mixture dries or color dissolve in milk, add to the mixture and fry.

Put in the chopped cashew nuts and mix. After cooling take little amount of mixture in your hand and shape them into round Ladoos then place these on a plate.

Stick chopped pistachios and Elaichi on the Ladoos. Delicious Kesar Malai Ladoos are ready.

Kesar Malai Ladoo using Condensed Milk:-

  •     Paneer - 400 grams or 2 cups(grated)
  •     Condensed milk - 400 grams
  •     Ghee - 1 tbsp
  •     Saffron(kesar) - 1/2 tsp or 1 pinch of yellow color
  •     Cashew nuts - 1 tbsp
  •     Pistachios - 10-15(finely chopped)
  •     Cardamom - 4 to 5 (peel)

How to make Kesar Malai Ladoo using Mawa using Condensed Milk:

Put condensed milk, Ghee, Paneer in a pan and stir fry with a spoon. After mixture turns thick put saffron in 1 tbsp milk and dissolve it then add it to the fried mixture. Fry till mixture dries or color dissolves in milk, add to the mixture and fry till mixture turns thick. Put in the chopped cashew nuts and mix.

After cooling take little amount of mixture in your hand and shape them into round Ladoos then place these on a plate.

Stick chopped pistachios and cardamom on the Ladoos. Delicious Kesar Malai Ladoos are ready.

Store the ladoos in an air tight container and enjoy eating for 4-5 minutes or serve whenever you have guests at you home.
