Choco Barfi Recipe

Suggestion:-

If chocolate barfi is not set or freezed, then place the tray or plate in refrigerator as it is for some more time. On second day the barfi will get set well. Still you feel that the barfi will not get freezed then take out the mixture in a pan and cook for more time. Check the consistency again and freeze it in similar manner.
 

Ingredients for Chocolate Barfi:-

  •     Mawa - 400 grams (2 cup)
  •     Powdered sugar - 200 grams (1 cup)
  •     Cashew nuts - ½ cup
  •     Coco powder - ¼ cup
  •     Desi ghee - 2 tsp

How to make:-

Grate or crumble the mawa finely and cut one cashew nut in 7-8 pieces.

Preheat a pan, add 1 tsp ghee. When ghee melts, add crumbled or grated mawa in pan and cook on medium flame until its color changes.

Add powdered sugar in pan and stir constantly to mix. Once sugar mixes nicely, add coco powder in the mixture and stir constantly. Cook for 3-4 minutes.

Add 2 tbsp cashews nuts in the mixture and mix nicely. Check the consistency of the mixture. It should have thick consistency. Mixture is now ready for freezing. If you feel that the mixture has not got the desired consistency cook it more until you get the correct consistency.

Grease plate or tray with ghee. Take out mixture in a plate and spread it evenly. Sprinkle rest of the cashew nuts on top of the mixture and press it with help of spoon so that they get set properly in the mixture.

When it gets freeze (it takes 2-4 hours for freezing the chocolate barfi) cut into any shape and size as per your preference. Very tasty and delicious barfi is ready. Store chocolate barfi in container and enjoy eating it for up to 10 days.
