Wash the Cheeku and peel them. Take out the seeds from it and cut into small pieces. Put all the pieces into the mixer and make a paste of it.
Take a non-stick pan and heat 1 table spoon ghee into it. Roast the mawa into the ghee until it turns light pink in colour. Now take it out in a bowl.
Pour remaining 1 table spoon ghee into the pan again and heat it well. Put the Cheeku paste into the ghee and roast it until it gets thick in consistency. Mix sugar into this paste and cook till the sugar completely dissolves into the paste. it . Now add mawa and cashews into the halwa and stir with the spoon till the mixture becomes thick in the consistency. Keep on stirring the halwa and make sure that the halwa should not stick at the bottom of the pan. Now turn off the flame.
Cheeku Halwa is ready. Transfer it into a serving bowl and garnish with chopped almonds.
You can serve the hala as a dessert after the lunch or the dinner to your family members. It can consumed for upto 4 days when stored in the refrigerator.
